Shark bite Pumps!

Jeffrey Campbell released these awesome Audrey Spike High Heel Wedges some time ago. Gorgeous but I was not prepared to drop the money for such a hefty price.
There was also a release from Jeffrey Campbell with the same style in a nude color, minus the studs and a different detailing. OMG I wanted them but once again, it was a hefty price. Charlotte Russe release a near perfect, much more affordable look-alike and when I went to order them online, they were out of my size! *cries*
Months passed and I was sure I would just never find them again. Well, it just so happens that I was in the city the other night, running a muck as usual, and I came across a thrift store called Housing Works on the upper west side and took a look inside. Low and behold, I found some "shark bite" pumps! I've had my heart on the wedges for so long but let's be honest, when was I ever gonna find a pair like this again? They had them in black AND red in my size. The best part? They were only FIVE DOLLARS EACH.
I got them both, of course. Just comes to show, you find the best things when you least expect it.

Central Park Photo Diary

So the other day, me and my aunt decided to spend our day off from work enjoying the cool weather and beautiful scenery in Central Park. Living in New York does it's toll on you, so it's nice to get away and see some green when you can. So, we ate up lunch and headed out. We first arrived there right there in front of the Central Park Reservoir. Seriously, one of the prettiest views ever.
We later ended up in the North Meadow Baseball/Softball field area, soaking up plenty of the beautiful setting sun.
We stopped for a liddo snack (peanuts and almonds, yum!) and then made our way towards the Central Park Belvedere Castle. We've been here once last year. The architecture of this building is very romanesque. Silly me, I forgot to take a picture of the actual castle lol but trust me when I say it's gorgeous. One of my favorite places in Central Park!
It was starting to get dark so we left with a few last pictures...
It was such a beautiful day and it was most definitely relaxing. Nice to get away from all the concrete and street sounds. What do you do to get away from the hustle and bustles of daily life?

Time and Relative Dimension in... a cup?

My friend, James, got me this sweet Doctor Who mug as a gift for my insane love for all things Doctor Who. On one side of the cup, is a London street. On the other, is outer space. What makes this mug unique, is that while you drink a cold beverage, the TARDIS is chillin curb side in London and no where to be seen in space. Just add a hot beverage to that baby, and wham-bam! The TARDIS travels through space!

I can't get enough of this mug! I dunno about you guys, but my morning tea just got 10x better! Although, I don't know exactly where he purchased this mug, I just so happen to know that you can also get it here from Barnes & Noble for about $12.95. I'm sure you could find it elsewhere if you do some more web digging. Any other Whovians out there??

Mini vacation to Florida ☀

So recently, I went to Florida for one of my best friend's wedding. It was absolutely gorgeous! I was her make-up artist and hairstylist. I was so happy to be a part of the process and I am truly happy for her and wish her the best on her new journey in marriage! I have some pictures here that I wanted to share with you guys taken from her wedding photographer, as well as a few of my own pictures!

It was an absolutely beautiful beach wedding. Definitely something from a movie! Have you guys gone out of town for any special events lately? Let me know down below. (:

First Blog Post! ♡

Hello Everyone!

This is my first blog post and I have to admit, I'm pretty stoked about it! I've been meaning to get around to getting an actual blog together but for one reason or another, I've slacked on it.

To get things started, my name is Melissa, but most people call me Mel or Melly. I'm 23 years old, currently residing in Queens, NY. I'm dominican but I look like a white girl because of my pale ass skin. PALE AND PROUD! haha. I'm obsessed with reading, playing guitar, Doctor Who, Supernatural, tumblr, music, singing, DIY stuff, vintage stuffs, talking in a british accent and the most obvious is anything about beauty.

Well, that's all for now, I suppose. Until next time!

 Melly.
